Coresure is the new chat bot on intersectionality through an accessibility lens. When I spoke at SHRM, I was suprised with how many HR people did not know what intersectionality was.
Intersectionality is having multiple idenities that interconnect. For example, it is a woman with a visable disability or it can be a person who is Chinese with a disability.
Coresure became even more important to me when I learned how many people did not know what what intersectionality meant.
Coresure was developed because people with disabilities struggle in the workplace. The struggle is usually because people don't know how to work with disabilities. This isn't their fault. In most colleges or HR training there usually is much if any training on disability. If there is training it usually has to do with the legalities. Now add another identity. What if the HR person isn't familar with that idenity?
Do you think their supervisor is going to say go learn about intersectionality and all the identies you are working with?
Do you think on the HR person's off time they are going to spend countless hours looking up the people they are working with intersectionality communication styles?
Of course not.
But if the HR person has an easy chatbot that will quickly answer questions, that can help resolve conflicts they will probably use it.
And that is why I developed Coresure.
